Did you know that today’s Super Bowl is at the University of Phoenix Stadium?
They spent more than $150 MILLION
for the stadium’s naming rights, money that could have gone toward helping
their students. Here’s the thing,
Phoenix is a bad deal- in 2012 they collected
$12,319/student in tuition, but only spent $1,655/student on instruction. Where
does all that extra money go?
It’s spent on TV commercials and naming rights.
That’s not even the worst of it; the money University of Phoenix spends on advertising is our money, because 92% of the University of Phoenix’s revenue comes from taxpayer dollars. Take action and tell Phoenix to spend their money on students, not stadiums!
