Rep. Robin Kelly will host a Youth Summit & Job Expo
for young men and women between the ages of 15 and 21. Representatives
from more than 50 companies and agencies, including Nike, Walmart, CVS
and the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership,
will accept applications for active job openings and internships. The
Summit will also offer workshops on interview skills, resume writing,
financial responsibility and building positive work habits. A youth
panel will discuss issues confronting today’s young people.
The
Summit will take place this Saturday, May 31, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at
Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory Academy, 250 E. 111th St.
