PERSON OF THE YEARStands Tall Amongst Dictators
Contributing Correspondent: C.D.W.
TBTNews Person of the Year is normally disclosed in November, but after seeing this man work his community and commit his life to assuring that all of our children are given fair opportunities within Chicago's public education, and after seeing the momentum he created this year with theMillion Father's March, it's only appropriate to announce this year's person of the year way ahead of schedule.
Mr. Phillip Jackson, a man who's dedicated his life to his community without question or hesitation, and early on, without much support. Today Phillip is the leading voice calling for better educational measures in CPS and his voice has also been extremely loud in the fight against youth violence.
Mr. Jackson, who's stayed the course for over ten years using his own dollars and donations by a few organizations like Toyota. But most of his work has been funded by himself. His time has come. Now with the march, which has over 500 cities across the country partnering with his Black Star Project, where men walk their children to school on this first day, Jackson has now been recognized world-wide.
Phillip should be the next CEO of CPS once the hijacker, barbara byrd bennett finally leaves Chicago. So lets see what scheme mayor rahm emanuel has up his slimy sleeves upon bennett's departure; after she finishes dismantling portions of the teacher's union and inserting charter schools at the community's dismay. But for now, TBTNews want to salute the most amazing man in Chicago, Phillip Jackson. Thanks for all your work, you are anointed my friend...
